At ISO, we work with two networks of medical providers. They are FirstHealth and Multiplan. Each of these networks provides a wide variety of doctors, urgent care and hospitals all over the country that you can go to. When looking through their website, you will have the option to find providers based on location and specialty.
If you are having problems with either FirstHealth or Multiplan’s website, you also have the option to contact them directly for a list of doctors.

Once you have located a doctor, it is always best to contact that medical provider directly and confirm with them if they are still a part of the network that you found them with. The reason for this is because sometimes doctors or medical centers are no longer a part of the network and it takes some time for it to be updated on the website. If the medical provider needs to verify your plan benefits, they may call the claims department (HealthSmart) at (800) 331-1096 between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. EST Monday through Friday.
Claim a bill
For each medical provider that you go to, they have their own way of handling claims or billing. There are some who will send your claims directly to your claims department, HealthSmart, to be processed first and there are some who will ask you to send your claims by yourself. If you happen to go to a provider, who leaves you in charge of submitting your claims alone, here are some tips on what to do.
1. Ensure that you get an itemized bill from the doctor or medical center.
2. Complete the questions on the claims form as clearly as possible.
3. Attach a copy of your itemized and claims form and send it directly to HealthSmart. If you prefer to mail it, their address is:

Always keep in mind that it can take some time for claims to be processed depending on the nature of the treatment. Claims can take any time between 4-6 weeks to be completed. For more information about your claims you can contact HealthSmart directly at (800) 331-1096 ext.2 or you can register on www.healthsmart.com and click on “Students”, and then on “all coverages” since you have not registered yet. On the following page, ensure that you fill out the information as requested, list your school as ISO and your group number is on your card and confirmation letter.
